Another thing lies broken

Life shivers from my body

The comforts dry and wither
Can’t keep my face composed.

but not in all these ways

Die more with every day.

a long plateau of rest

an explosion through the chest

The loneliness is caustic,
I feel it scratch my face.
Life is the cruelest gift –
